About: The congregation of believers that meets in Saginaw, Texas, is dedicated to serving a risen Savior. They are loving, caring, and have a vision of growth and greatness in the Lord. They are mission minded, active in the community, and are working to build the education and youth program through teaching and example, all with God’s love. Saginaw is one of the fastest growing cities in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. The Eagle Mountain/Saginaw School District is highly rated with 18 elementary schools, six middle schools, and four high schools.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Program Goals - Develop and implement a youth and family program that is designed to carry out the church mission. - Development and implement a variety of youth and family activities which seek to nurture the body, mind, and spirit. - Support the youth in the growth of an independent foundation in their faith that will sustain them through the transition into adulthood. - Create opportunities for the church to be engaged with the youth. - Demonstrates a spirit of evangelism and community outreach. Tasks and Responsibilities - Demonstrate a Christ filled life to the youth in worship, family, community, and activities. - Create personal relationships with the youth to support them through difficulties and struggles they may encounter. - Motivate youth and families to become active members of the church by developing their spiritual gifts and creating ministry opportunities. - Assist parents or guardians in appropriately guiding their children in spiritual matters, working with the family in regard to the child's needs. - Plan and communicate events (including seminars, camps, mission trips, retreats, devotionals, and/or other activities). - Ensure all youth have the opportunity to participate in activities. - Seek opportunities to support youth in their extracurricular activities. - Stay connected with the education programs of the church. - Participate in continuing education and professional development. Skills/Qualifications - Must be a current and active member of the Church of Christ with sound Christian principles. - Have a theology and values that are in harmony with the congregation’s mission and vision. - Prefer prior experience in a similar role or educational degree in ministry. - Prefer candidates that are married, or engaged to be married. - Strong communication, planning, time management and organizational skills. - Maintain a professional work ethic with the ability to work independently and stay on task without direct supervision. - Friendly, positive, creative, and collaborative with the ability to articulate in both intimate and public settings. - Be knowledgeable with current social media outlets and technology.
