A Reminder
If you’ve listened much you’ve heard us quote dad’s favorite saying: The future is as bright as the promises of God.”
Sometimes for those of us who preach and minister we would do well to think about the fact that “The promises of God” are for US. We spend much wind encouraging others to consider God’s promises but for at least a few moments here are a few for YOU! Take them in, lean into them, relax in the truth for you our minister friend: Today, hear these words not as lines for a sermon but as life for your own heart. To the end that, whatever is going on in your ministry, your local congregation, the larger brotherhood, your own house, or your own heart - you can take heart in these truths from the one who cannot lie
Be reminded:
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
behold, I am with you always
seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you
if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart
For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name…
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it…
