About: The University Church of Christ in Canyon, TX is seeking a dynamic leader for a well-established youth ministry. Located fourteen miles from the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon State Park, and in the heart of a family centered community, the church of approximately 450 members is rapidly growing. The youth ministry, which makes up about ten percent of the membership, has enjoyed excellent leadership over several decades. We have six supportive elders and three full-time ministry staff members. The UCC Youth Minister will oversee all aspects of the Youth Ministry including teaching classes on Sunday mornings, appointing teachers for high school and junior high Sunday morning classes, organizing Wednesday night curriculum, planning youth activities and modeling Christian discipleship. This is a collaborative position with two deacons and a highly supportive parent base.
