About: The Ripon, California Church of Christ, located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, is currently seeking a preacher/minister to immediately work and serve with a congregation of a hundred plus members. The ideal candidate would have experience ministering at a congregation of the LORD’s church or be a graduate of a brotherhood college/university or preacher/missionary development school. The church is prepared to offer a reasonable compensation package, which would include salary, a parsonage, and allowances, to include health insurance.
Duties: The Minister's duties and responsibilities, briefly, and in part, include: A) Subject to the supervision and pursuant to the advice, consent, and direction of the Church elders/Shepards ("Elders"), Minister shall perform such duties as are assigned by same Elders. Minister's duties and responsibilities shall, specifically, include, without limitation, the following (1) Preaching: sermons which are Bible based and centered/focused. (2) Teaching: lessons/curriculum which are centered/focused upon, and developed from, God's scripture. (3) Visitation to and with members or congregants, as needed, to effectively minister to the Church. (4) Consulting, on a regularly scheduled basis, monthly, as a minimum, with and assisting Elders in planning, coordinating, and exceeding Church work, specifically including sermons and classes taught by minister, and at other times as requested by the Elders. (5) Such other duties, responsibilities, and services related to ministering to the congregants, as may, from time to time, be assigned by the Elders.
