About: World Christian Broadcasting is a Christian ministry in Franklin, Tennessee with the primary purpose of sharing messages with as much of the world as possible so people can become aware of the Good News of Jesus Christ. International shortwave broadcasting is the primary medium used in this effort.

World Christian Broadcasting is seeking a VP for Development. The VP for Development is responsible for leading and executing fundraising efforts, with a strong emphasis on individual giving, church partnerships, special events, and donor recruitment and cultivation. This role ensures alignment with organizational and departmental policies and procedures, maintains accurate donor data in the CRM system, and drives revenue growth to support the organization's goals. The position reports to the President/CEO and will lead the Development Team.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can think strategically while executing day-to-day, cultivate major donors, strengthen individual giving, and build a strategic fundraising plan. The VP for Development will partner closely with leadership and program teams to ensure fundraising is relational, aligned, and impact-driven.

Essential duties and responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes major gifts, individual donors, church and corporate relationships, and event-based revenue; recruiting and maintaining strong relationships with board members, donors, volunteers, and community partners; leading a small development team; developing and implementing strategies for donor retention and growth; following all organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and ethical standards related to fundraising and donor relations; creating programs to acknowledge, engage, and steward donors; and reviewing and controlling gift acknowledgments, including receipts, thank you letters, pledge reminders, tribute notifications, and annual endowment reports.

A four-year college degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience. World Christian Broadcasting prefers five years of fund-raising experience. The candidate should be able to work nights and weekends as needed, have strong attention to detail and organizational, financial, and planning skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and assist with digital media content. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to meetings or events are required.
