Description: The Pleasant Valley Church of Christ is searching for a minister who is passionate for Jesus and His Church. They are looking for a minister who wants to spread the Gospel in this community and strengthen the Church. The minister will be responsible for preaching 2 sermons per week, teaching Bible class on a regular basis, and conducting Devotionals on Wednesday nights. The ideal candidate will regularly visit elderly members, shut-ins, hospitals, etc… Also, the minister should be active in ministries of the church including but not limited to Lads to Leaders, young adult activities, older adult activities, Pew Packers (little children), etc… Send resumes to the e-mail address and/or contact one of the Elders at the numbers provided.
Preach 2 sermons per week
Devotionals on Wednesday night
Preach the truth based on God’s word
Actively lead an evangelism team(s)
Teach one bible class per week
Visit elderly shut-ins on a regular basis (what is that basis? Monthly, quarterly…)
Visit members on a regular basis
Have members in your home regularly
Be involved in the ministries of the church (coordinate and/or participate)
Be in the office at set times to allow access by people
Be accessible 24 hours a day in case of emergencies
Hospital and nursing home visits regularly
Lead the Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes program
Conduct weddings/funerals as requested
Complete a weekly bulletin (??)
Active in the community. Get involved in community events.
Counsel as needed to the best of your abilities.
