The Kindness of God

Dear Loving Father in Heaven,

We are thankful that You are always so kind and good to us. We thank You for Your kindness in allowing us opportunities to preach Your Word to Your people. We pray that all of us who stand before Your people on Sunday will express the kindness You have showered upon us by being kind to those who come to hear Your Word.

Help us, Dear God, to always be kind to those around us; to our family, our friends, our co-workers, to people we don’t know, to people who disagree with us, and even to our enemies. Help us to try my best to act more like Jesus so that others will want to know Him. Help us care more about people knowing Jesus than about people knowing us. 

We pray, Dear God, that we will say something kind to someone who needs to hear it. Help us to do something kind for someone who is hurting. Forgive us for the times I have failed you. Please God, help us to be better today than we were yesterday, and better tomorrow than we are today. Help us to grow in our faith and our kindness. Help us to trust You more, and to love You more. In Jesus Precious Name, Amen.”
