As preachers stand before Your people with Your Word on our hearts and on our lips, we pray that You will help us remember what a sacred honor and privilege it is to speak Your Word. Help us remember that the power is not in our eloquence, our wisdom, our knowledge, or our ability. Help us remember that the power is in the spoken Word. Dear God, help us remember that we are Your servants, Your spokesmen, and Your seed-sowers. Father, help us remember that our task is to preach the Truth in love. Help us remember to be kind, bold, humble, and passionate as we deliver the message. Help us remember that Your Word will accomplish its intended purpose. Help us remember that Your Word, spoken clearly and in love, is life-changing and life-giving. Help us remember to stand behind the cross of Jesus and to make the message about Him and never about us. Help us remember that You will be with us as we worship You and as we preach Your Word. Help us remember that You love us and that You love each person who will gather to hear Your Word. In the Precious Name of our Savior, we pray, Amen.
