The Hardin congregation in Hardin, KY announced this morning that they have hired Blake Jenkins to be their new preacher. Yes, another Jenkins in another state. Blake is one of my sister's son's and I'm proud of him. http://www.hardincoc.com/
Dewayne Butler has been hired by Blackwater Macedonia in Jasper, AL. Dewayne has been in Lebanon, TN.
Paul Franks will be leaving the Boulevard Congregation in Lake Charles to work with his dad Al at the Magnolia Messenger. The Woodson Chapel congregation in Nashville has announced that Mike McPherson will be joining their staff. He worked at the youth minister there for a number of years and is returning in a new role. This scoop from David Rogers. Holly Hill in Frankfort, Kentucky is looking to fill an Associate Minister position. There attendance is about 215. They have 2 elders, 10 deacons, and a preacher. The role will allow for some preaching in addition to teaching, and community involvement. The primary focus will be on ministering to families and youth. This one is a little different: The Concord Road church in the Nashville area is looking for a youth ministry intern for the summer. Concord Road is a congregation of about 500 with a youth group (grades 6-12) about 65 students strong. They have three full time ministers: Dan Chambers is the pulpit minister, Jerry Weldon is the minister of evangelism, and Paddy Flanagan is the youth minister. We mentioned a good while back that Will Grice will be leaving the Central congregation in Athens, AL to do mission work in Nairobi, Kenya. Here is their job description:
