New scooper!

As you read earlier this week Jeff and I have combined our efforts. Below is Jeff's first Scoop list.  Enjoy - d
These are our first scoops on the new website: www.jenkinsinstitute.com.  It is also our first time to combine our efforts for the Scoop Blog.  We hope you all are having a wonderful week.

Here is what we have today...

This scoop is from Rusty Pettus at Graymere: Allen Park Michigan is looking for a minister. They are a congregation of 120 at present and looking for a full time minister.  Rusty says: "This is a loving congregation that has been the victim of a bad Michigan economy. Many people have left as the jobs have left. The church is a minutes from Ford. People can contact them by email, or the church website, allenparkcoc.org. Elder Donald McKenzie [donhf104@sbcglobal.net]"

The following note comes to us from Wes Mayfield and the good congregation in Andrews, TX: "The reason I am writing you is to see if you may know of a preacher who would be interested in working with the Andrews Church of Christ in Andrews, TX. We have just begun a search for a full time pulpit minister. We met when you were in Andrews to a couple of years back to hold a gospel meeting. I recall your passion to present God's word and your ability to do so and appreciated our conversation after the meeting about your concern for the Lords body. We have been blessed in Andrews with many young families. I now serve as a deacon working with the 20 & 30's age group. In this group we have almost 30 couples with almost 50 kids 5th grade and down. Many are young Christians. The fields are truly white for the harvest! We still have around 200 to 250 members. You can contact Wes through his email, wmayfield@techstaris.com. To learn more about the church in Andrews see their website, http://www.andrewschurch.org/."

Jordan Coss  the youth minister at Rose Hill church in Columbus, GA reports that they are looking for a full time pulpit minister To learn more about them go to: http://www.rosehillchurch.com/. This scoop from Heritage Christian University: "Dr. Justin Imel, Tammy (wife), RJ (son age 12), and Wil (son age 9) recently transitioned from the Alum Creek (West Virginia) Church of Christ to Heritage Christian University in Florence, AL.  He will be working with HCU as he explores additional opportunities in ministry. He is available for speaking appointments.  Dennis Jones, President of Heritage Christian, describes Justin as 'a bright, pleasant, faithful, hard-working, and well-educated servant of God, who will continue to bless the kingdom.'" email Justin at: jimel@hcu.edu

And, finally, this just came in before we posted: Mark Aites has accepted the job with the church in South Point, Ohio.

That's what we have for now. If you know of anything we’ve left out please feel free to contact either of us: dale@edge.net, jeff@lewisvillechurchofchrist.org.  Remember, the Scoop Blog depends on you!
