Until Then

Someday, we will never feel mentally and physically exhausted after a busy Sunday. Someday, we’ll never be worried that our sermon didn’t connect. Someday, we will never again wonder if we are going to be able to keep our job. Someday, we will never again struggle in our relationship with elders or fellow staff members.

Someday, we will never again stand beside the grave of the dearest person on earth to us. Someday, we will never again have to watch someone we love suffer with cancer, heart disease, or any number of other physical issues.

Someday, we will never have our hearts torn apart because someone we trusted turned their back on us and walked out on the Lord and His Church. Someday, we will never again endure the pain of seeing a family member deny the faith.

Someday, we will never again experience sadness, depression, loneliness, weariness, desertion, distress, or disappointment.

Someday, we will know only peace, contentment, joy, fulfillment, and eternal bliss. Someday, we will see the face of our Savior, and those we love who have gone on before us.

Someday, our faith will complete, our hope will become sight, our tears will be stopped, our questions will be answer, and our love will be perfected.

Until then, we do our best to be obedient to the commands of Jesus. Until then, we will work to bring as many people as possible to the Savior. Until then, we will praise God with everything within us. Until then, we will be faithful to our King.

Until then, we will try our best to be motivated to do His will. Until then, we will endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Until then, we will serve one another, encourage one another, and love one another.
