Accused

It seems like we hear about a new accusation being made every day. Politicians, entertainers, athletes, and even preachers are being accused of something that isn’t right.

We can argue all day about the fact that we live in an “Instagram, Twitter, Facebook world. We can argue about “Innocent until proven guilty,” but the accusations still stand. And the accusations made can often cause much pain and heartache, whether true or not.

Just wondering out loud for a minute. What if? What if the accusations made about men of God were only good?

What if every one of us who preach God’s Word committed ourselves to living a life that resulted in numerous accusations that would bring glory to our Lord? It might look something like this.

ACCUSED…of imitating Jesus in everything we do.

ACCUSED…of proclaiming the whole counsel of God.

ACCUSED…of preaching the Truth in love.

ACCUSED…of being instant in season and out of season.

ACCUSED…of fulfilling our ministry.

ACCUSED…of loving those who don’t know Jesus and who haven’t obeyed the Gospel.

ACCUSED…of speaking only words that edify and encourage our fellow workers in the Lord.

ACCUSED…of only being kind to other preachers with whom I disagree.

ACCUSED…of not being ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.

ACCUSED…of ridding my life of pride and arrogance.

ACCUSED…of following the spirit of humility found in Jesus.

ACCUSED…of doing something good for no other reason than wanting to do something good.

ACCUSED…of living a life that seeks more than anything else to do the Will of God.

ACCUSED…of loving the Lord will all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength.

ACCUSED…of glorifying God through our preaching, teaching, writing, posting, and the way we live our life.

What if…
