About Dover & the Role: The Dover Church of Christ, located in scenic rural Middle Tennessee, is seeking a full-time minister to serve, teach, and lead the congregation during a time of transition and opportunity. Currently, the congregation does not have elders, so they are looking for a man who is either experienced in, or open to, navigating the unique challenges and blessings of working with a congregation under men's business meetings. This is a pivotal time in the church’s history, and they are prayerfully seeking someone who can help guide with humility, strength, and biblical conviction.
Responsibilities: Preach Sunday morning and Sunday evening sermons Teach Sunday morning Bible class Willingness to teach or assist with Wednesday evening Bible class Engage in personal evangelism, visitation, and spiritual encouragement Work collaboratively with the men of the congregation to support church goals and address congregational needs Qualifications: Sound knowledge of the Bible and faithful adherence to the doctrine of Christ Strong public speaking and teaching ability Good interpersonal and communication skills Heart for ministry, compassion for people, and a commitment to spiritual growth Experience working with or navigating a congregation without elders is a plus, but not required A supportive, godly family is appreciated and encouraged Compensation: Housing provided in a church-owned residence (recently used as the preacher's home) Competitive salary based on experience and needs Utilities and other benefits negotiable About Dover: Dover is a peaceful, rural community near Land Between the Lakes, offering beautiful natural surroundings and a low cost of living.
