About: Morristown Church of Christ seeks an additional minister to work alongside them as they continue their current spiritual trajectory. This new position of co-minister has been borne out of the ongoing spiritual and numerical growth of the church family. Since 2019, the Sunday Bible classes has increased by 58%, and the worship assemblies have grown by 22%. While experiencing growth among all ages and walks of life, much of the growth has taken place among young families with children. They are overseen by three shepherds and served by sixteen deacons. They have an active youth ministry with approximately fifty-five children from birth to high school and are blessed with a growing group of young adults. They believe that grace and truth can co-exist in the context of doing “church,” and strive to promote an atmosphere of love, joy, and peace. The church family is composed of both recent converts and those who have been “raised in the church.” They view that spiritual diversity as a strength that allows continued ability to reach both those who have no church background and those who walked away from the church in the past.

To Apply: To apply for the position, please submit a resume with references and a 1-2 page summary of your philosophy/approach to ministry. Submissions and inquiries can be sent to morristownministersearch@gmail.com

Description: We seek someone who above all else, loves the Lord, loves people, and loves bringing people to the Lord. While a general job description is available upon request, it is more important for us to find the right person and allow that person’s gifts and talents to influence his job description. The job description includes regular teaching of Bible classes, ministering to the general needs of our church family, and occasional preaching. The position requires one who desires to work collaboratively with the preaching minister, other staff members, elders, and the entire church family.
