About: Commerce Church of Christ in Commerce, Texas is seeking a Campus Minister for Lions for Christ, the campus ministry serving East Texas A&M University. The congregation is ethnically diverse, averages 85, and has 4 elders. The ministry to college students began in 1957 and is located adjacent to campus. It is overseen by the elders of Commerce Church of Christ and supported by other congregations and individuals. Lions for Christ seeks to walk college students into a relationship with God and His kingdom by sharing God's word, helping believers imitate Jesus, preparing followers to make more followers, and glorifying God with unity.

The director's main focus will be working with students who are members of the church of Christ, equipping them to recruit and reach fellow students, developing evangelism skills, maintaining the Lions for Christ facility, visiting supporting congregations with students, recruiting students through area churches, assisting youth transitioning from high school, preparing newsletters, developing the website, raising support, meeting with the elders, evaluating the work each May, managing finances, recruiting at area youth activities, coordinating an annual appreciation dinner, encouraging students, working with university officials, participating in campus events, and living with honor, integrity, and godliness.
