A Prayer for the New Year

Almighty: as these Your men stand to speak tomorrow may they be cognizant of Your presence. As we begin a new year may they be renewed from within. Please bless these Your men with vision, passion, patience, endurance, energy, an optimistic spirit, creativity, humble hearts, courage – to say hard things well, wonder in all You have made, clarity in study and preparation, gentleness in tone and correction, faithfulness to Your Word and Way, love for Your people, delight in their work, an evangelistic heart, a shepherds care, with wisdom to know when and what to speak and when and why to not. As it is a new day, may they be revitalized in You and Your Mission for their lives.
