A Prayer for Preachers

Father:

For some of those who are praying with us each Sunday is like Christmas morning to a 10 year old. They can't wait. They can't wait for the moment they step into the pulpit and for every step heading to it. They can't wait for the weekly reunion, for the guests, for the unexpected that rests in each week. Bless them. May they drink in these good days. May they live in them for a long time and be blessed.

But others, Lord, carry a burden that grows heavier each week. Some walk through conflict. Others labor in dryness or with self-doubt. They question every word, fear every response, and shrink from every encounter. Bless them too, O Lord. May they find peace in You. May they be assured that many love them. May they trust that You are with them in every moment.

In Jesus Name,
AMEN
