Dear Loving Father in Heaven, Today we pray for preachers around the world who will proclaim the Gospel on Sunday. We pray specifically for Your men who will be preaching in difficult places. Some of these men will preach, as they do every week, in places where people will walk for miles to attend worship. Some of these men will preach in buildings without walls, in buildings without lights or power, in buildings without bathroom facilities, and in buildings that are in disrepair.
Some preachers find themselves in difficult situations in their lives, within their families, and even within their congregations. Some men have learned this week that they or their wives have cancer, heart disease, or some other physical issue. Some preachers will preach this week after learning that their jobs are in jeopardy. There are men of Yours who have a child who has decided to walk away from You. We pray for preachers who will preach with heavy hearts because of a broken friendship or a problem within the church family.
Father, we plead with You for any of these preachers who find themselves in difficult places as they stand before Your people on Sunday. Please cover them with Your love, grace, mercy, strength, comfort, and hope. Dear God, we pray that these men will be reminded of how much You love them and that You will never leave them or forsake them.
In the Precious Name of our Savior, We Pray, Amen.
