One of the closest friends Jesus had while on the earth and our brother Peter, once said to our Savior, “Lord to whom shall we go? You have the Words of Eternal Life.” When life is tough, when we feel defeated, when we feel that the world is against us, when we feel like everything around us is caving in, when we feel the ground beneath us is shifting, when we feel like those closest to us have forsaken us, when we wonder if our work is worthwhile, we can always turn to Jesus. He has just the Words we need to revitalize, renew, restore, and replenish our heart.
Our Great God is patient, long-suffering, kind, loving, merciful, trustworthy, just, and holy. He has the ability and the desire to take care of all of our needs. He gave us the greatest gift the world has ever known. Not only is there nothing that our God cannot do, there is nothing that our God would not do for us. “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32) If you feel burdened down by life today, consider the love and the power of God. Recall the words from our brother Peter, and live!
