He will be moving at the end of the year to the church of Christ at Milestone to be their preacher and director of the Northwest Florida School of Biblical Studies. This leaves the Ackerman Church of Christ looking immediately for a new preacher. Ackerman has two elders and ranges in attendance from 95-120 on Sunday mornings. They have a lot of young people and are active in Lads2Leaders. Guyton has had a good work there and leaves on excellent terms. There is a preachers house located next to building. MS/TN: The Kensington Woods church in Hattiesburg has hired Robert Tipps to be their new evangelist. He is leaving the Capital Hill church. They are searching for a part-time paid minister. The church averages 50-65 each Sunday and has quite a large amount percentage of youth and children. The church building is less than ½ mile from Woods Reservoir Lake. They do have a preacher’s house. Until they fill the vacancy they will need a minister to fill in temporarily or on an interim basis as well.
