A Prayer for Protection

God,

I pray that You will protect these good men who give to their time and talent, who toil over difficult decisions striving to shepherd diverse people and to remain true to You and Your Word while remembering the souls they shepherd. May their hearts be stout and their souls stedfast. May they not be discouraged and may they not forfeit their passion for the Kingdom when they get beat up and berated for a decision that they believe is best even though it may not be popular with some. May they never believe themselves infallible and may they be quick to correct when they need to. Bless them for their sacrificial labor of love in tending Your Sheep.
