sad and glad

I was looking forward to keynoting the lectureship at Magnolia Bible College down in Kosciusko, Mississippi in October of this year. They had given me some pretty neat assignments including: How to Grow A Church in Any Economy. But I got word last week from them that the board had met and decided to shut the school down because of finances and lack of students (Man, I hope word didn’t get out that I was heading there and that is what got them!). Magnolia had been around since 1976. They had some seriously impressive individuals who worked with them through the years and had achieved accreditation from SACS back in 1990 and been reaffirmed in 2005. That is an amazing accomplishment from a school that small. They had done a great job helping churches in MIssissippi and that area. I’m sad to see them go.

On a more “glad” note we launched our new website at Spring Meadows over the weekend. Hope you’ll drop by and see the great work our team has done/is doing on it: www.smcoc.net

Have a super week!
