First “Sun” post

HERE is the first of my posts for the Jackson Sun this week:

Again this year I am honored to have been asked to “blog the lectures” I am doing this in conjunction with FHU and The Jackson Sun.  So I probably will be posting a lot this week.  I am not being paid by either of these organizations so my thoughts really only officially represent me. I hope you will follow these and feel free to share your comments.

Some of these will be for fun and others more serious but all will be in an attempt to give you a feel of what the Freed-Hardeman Lectureships are all about.  I’ve asked a few friends who serve as reporters for me and will be posting some of their posts as well.  If you have thoughts and suggestions let me know at dale@edge.net or on Facebook.

I also run two personal blogs at www.dalejenkins.com.  One is called “the Scoop Blog”. It’s a little unusual in that I post listings of churches looking to fill ministry roles.  Roughly 500 preachers check it out, most looking for a job for themselves or someone else.  If you know of openings or have one, your sharing your "scoop" could help both the minister and the congregation.

My other blog is called “the Blog that Binds” it is personal and contains anything from deep thoughts on scripture to my favorite restaurants.

I also do a weekly podcast with Adam Faughn called iPreach the Podcast.  When I update www.dalejenkins.com I sent out notices to anyone who wants them. If you would like to be a part of that group shoot me an email (dale@edge.net) and I will add you immediately.
