They're there

Sunday there was a toddler in your audience who believes you ARE God. There was an elementary student who looks up to you as a super-hero. There was a middle school student making notes and hanging on every word. There was a high schooler questioning every word. There was a college student who thinks he knows more about everything than you do. There were young parents who were struggling to make it through the service as they wrestled with their little one. There was a middle-aged man who's lost his passion for life and is just hanging on. There was a divorced mom, wolves at the door, praying she could make ends meet in the week to come. There a bored husband who is just there cause he thinks he should be. There was a business woman who was there hoping to make more contacts. There was an elderly lady there who loves you and prayed for you every day last week. There was a person with a secret whose heart hurts with every beat. There was a person struggling with cancer wondering what the future holds. There were people thrilling and people reeling. There were people searching and people with a score to settle. There were humble and the haughty. There were those who love their church and those with one foot out the door.

And there was you. God’s man with an open Book, a passionate heart, and an opportunity to speak life-giving, soul-stirring, eternity changing truth into their hearts.

May God's best be yours as you give them, and Him, your best.

Bless you.
